NINA – also known as Ania Gastol. Born in Krakow, Poland.
Welcome to my world!
In 2000 I moved to the US, spent some time in Florida, New York, then I established myself in Chicago. In December of 2005 I came back to Europe, and for over 6 years I was experiencing the glamour and shimmering London, that strongly marked my passion towards film and fashion industry.
After all these years of living abroad, many changes in my worldview appeared, and I found myself fascinated by Make-up and Fashion Art – the world in which colours unconditionally belong to me, and greyness of the past (growing up in the communist era) turned into my own choice – not a life obligation.
Besides my Make-up work, for the last few years I have been promoting ideas of Recycling and Upcycling Fashion. I’m creating costumes using the newspapers, any kind of discarded paper, and second hand fabrics.
I desire to raise interaction with environment by breaking concepts. Why not wearing the paper clothes for special events and cocktail parties…? The goal of “trashion” (trash and fashion) is to call attention to the polluting outcome of waste…
Since 2012 I am based in Italy (Milan/Rome). Always travelling for work.
